Bedford Archive has large volumes of documents – much of which is related to our parish but which cannot be copied or made available on our website. In particular the Russell (Dukes of Bedford) Archive. R. Box 57 has a number of relevant articles such as historic maps. Eg. R box 57, Bundle U2, no. 40; Eaton Socon: ‘A True and Exact Survey of an Estate Lying at Honey-Down in the Parish of Eaton belonging to Mr James Grassineau’ 183ac in Honneydon and Cadbury with schedule giving field names. Includes sketches of buildings.
Much of this has not been catalogued online so you can only view it on paper. You can contact Bedford Archive to make an appointment to view these documents via their website.
