A resident in Duloe has kindly offered to litter pick in their local area as I know many other residents do. The challenge is often to get rid of the litter collected. I wanted to remind residents that if they would like to sign up as a community volunteer with Bedford Borough Council they will provide equipment for you to keep at home long term (litter picker, hoop and bags) and they will collect the full bags once you report them to the Borough Council. When you complete the volunteering form just specify what you want to do eg. collect litter in Duloe. Then they know you don’t necessarily want to be doing big community clean ups in Bedford town centre.
You can sign up here:

Let them know that you would like litter picking equipment and ask who they would like you to notify when the bags are full.
We also do a community litter pick annually in March so do watch out for this and come and join us.
Thank you so much for keeping our hamlets tidy.
